One of the very best hostels I ever had the pleasure to stay in. It is brand new, the owners are super nice, caring and helpful/involved with anything you might need. It’s the details that make this hostel special. Shower gel and shampoo in the (luxury) showers, towels even in the dorm rooms for everyone, quality materials in everything built in…. Honestly don’t doubt it for a second, you will have a great time. Tuesday nights you have all you can eat BBQ in the bar upstairs (cooked bu the owner) and beers for 1€. The Lodge is definitely the place to go if you decide to stay in Esmoriz! The rooms are clean and it has everything you might need: a kitchen, toilets, showers, a common area, with books and board games, and a really nice terrace (with a bar) where you can relax after a sunny day at the beach 😎 It is in a great position: you have access to the beaches in 2 minutes walk and restaurants, shops, cafes and a bank are just around the corner! Francesca and Maria (the staff) are just the best! They helped me and my daughter (7 years old) with everything we needed. They made us feel like at home!😍 Thank you!!

A really charming hostel with an exceptionally great welcome culture. The decor is designed with a lovingly-creative and modern handwriting: beautiful and practical at the same time. The rooftop terrace and bistro allow for a great and varied breakfast and social tapas evenings with international food. guests. South is nice for long natural beaches and forests to walk, north of the beach with beach students. Cocktail bars everywhere and culinary everyone meets their needs. A place where you can manage really well even without a rental car. Also offers such as yoga, SUP, surf lessons and dining experiences. Overall, in the hostel a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I spent 2 weeks in the hostel and I have to say that these were the most beautiful 2 weeks of my entire trip. Franzcisca, the owner of the hostel, takes great care of her guests, I felt in good hands almost like family. Her employees Maria and Itzel made my stay as beautiful as possible. The rooms were clean as well as the kitchen, the showers and the lounge. There were a lot of activities (yoga, surfing, food tour, renting a bike...) for a very good price. If I could, I would give the hostel 10 stars.

What a gem of a location in beautiful, Esmoriz! Had such a great stay at Be Happy and cannot wait to return for a longer stay. An immense attention to detail throughout the entire property with beautiful decor, local art, and a local theme. Extremely professional and friendly management and staff. Perfect, central location. Well worth a few days of relaxation near nature and the ocean outside of the city bustle.

We had a super lovely stay! Everyone was super helpful and friendly! we took a yoga class on the roof terrace, rented bikes, went for a run and enjoyed the surrounding of this place (beaches, lagoon and forests are so beautiful!) Also there are many options to get to know other guests if you like to by joining group events. we really recommend to stay at this very welcoming and nice place! special thanks to the staff and Franziska!

We had a great time in Behappy. You could see the thoughtfulness of the owners and staff. The beds were very comfy, and the decoration and set up is unique. All shared areas were clean and inviting. Shared bathrooms are modern and good looking. We had to share the kitchen and fridge too, and there were assigned baskets to place in the fridge for each room. There was also the chance to leave any packaged left over food for other guests to use for free. Just a couple steps to the beach, and there is a lot of free parking spaces around the area.

I had the great pleasure of spending a few nights in the charming hostel in Esmoriz and am completely thrilled. From the beginning I felt welcome and in good hands. The accommodation was very clean. The rooms were lovely and tastefully decorated. Each room had its own individual charm, which gave the stay a special touch. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. They were always on hand with advice and assistance, giving valuable tips to explore the area and made a significant contribution to making my stay memorable. You could literally feel their passion and dedication to running their hostel. The extras and amenities offered (e.g. yoga, surf lessons, shared cooking evenings, tapas night) at the hostel rounded off the whole package perfectly. There was nothing to be desired here. The hostel has a cozy common room, a great roof terrace, a well-equipped communal kitchen and the great rain shower is to be emphasized! All in all, my stay was simply terrific, and I am looking forward to the next opportunity to visit this wonderful hostel again. Esmoriz itself is a charming little town that scores extra with its local flair and the friendly residents. In conclusion, I can recommend the hostel in Esmoriz without reservation!

Everything. The decoration of the hotel was exquisite, the atmosphere very pleasant, everything was clean and tidy. The staff that works there is exceptional, friendly, attentive, willing to help at all times and make you spend a few days most pleasant. We stayed in the private room with bathroom and it is spacious and comfortable. At the hotel itself you can rent bikes, book classes and activities, have a drink at the bar above you... A luxury. Abundant breakfast. They have a WhatsApp group that you can join and they warn about activities and plans in the area. Esmoriz is a quiet village with marine charm, good eating places and easy access by train to cities like Porto and Aveiro.

What I liked the most was the treatment of Francisca and her availability at all times to solve any of my doubts. On the other hand, the location: right next to the sea. Beach on the right and beach on the left. The 8-person mixed dorm was great. Bunk bed was comfortable and spacious. The locker was quite large, but due to the good atmosphere with the other guests I had no problem leaving most things out. The bathrooms were great too. Very spacious. Like the showers. No need to have a private bathroom when the facilities are so well maintained. I took the option with breakfast and it was a wise move. It is quite economical, very varied and of good quality. Also, Francisca was always around to assist you and help you with whatever you needed. Finally, I want to highlight the bike rental service. Allowed me to go one day to Espinho and another day to São Jacinto.
