The lodge's owner and staff have always been amiable and helpful. The lodge is quite new with a modern interior design and the rooftop with a bar is a perfect place for a drink at night. The possibility to work remotely in a separate part of the house with IT equipment and a conference room is a dream for every working traveler. Especially, the organized food tour to small restaurants nearby was a special experience with delicious meals from the region.
Amazing place, I stayed for 2 weeks in March, great location, facilities, and genuinely calming and friendly atmosphere, was a pleasure to spend the 2 weeks there. Couldn’t have asked for anything more from the staff and owner, treated me and my pal like family. Stayed in hostels all over Europe and Asia but none compared to this. The staff helped organise surf hire, lessons, gave advice on surf spots, places to eat out and drink out, day tours, yoga….the list goes on. Would highly recommend doing the SUP tour on the Douro River if running when you visit was stunning! The co-work space is also definitely a hidden gem, felt very secure and excellently equipped. Will be back soon for sure !
This was a hidden jewel of knowing a wonderful hostel. We did work & travel and internet was good & the co-working space was great with meeting room & water/coffee.
Nothing like waking up and of to a great start doing yoga, having a great breaki & of to work. Here you are in between locals and a awesome surfer vibe.

I stayed here 1 amazing month. Be happy has all the conditions to work remotely and enjoy the stay in beautiful esmoriz. Every day we had some activities like food tours, tapas, surfing classes or bicycle trips. Be happy has as well nice coworking space and really good internet.

The hosts are extremally welcoming and carrying. They have impressive knowledge about Porto and nearby locations. I spend a bit of time working remotely and it was really comfortable experience. Internet connection is superfast, working conditions were comfortable and quiet. Really good breakfasts. Super clean toilets. Comfortable and isolated beds in dorm make it really good sleep conditions. Surfschool nearby and peacefull, beautiful nature makes it an amazing place to visit. My greatest recommendation ever.
